U-40 veterinary syringes carry a different graduation scale to U-100 human-use syringes — same volume, different markings — and the two are not interchangeable for veterinary dosing. Use only when a veterinarian has specified U-40 dosing for an at-home protocol. The marker bands differ visibly between the two scales so you can confirm the right unit on every draw, and the box itself is colour-coded distinctly from the human range to avoid pickup errors. Always follow the dosing schedule your vet provides; rotate injection sites under the loose skin between the shoulder blades or along the flank to reduce site fatigue.
